Receipts submitted for the BBQ
Big deposit for the clubhouse and the stickers
We put over $986 in the bank
Expenses – bank fees, glider tags, purgatory materials, advance on bbq
$5,460 – ending balance

Next meeting: October 14 – 7:00 p.m. in the clubhouse

Old Business

Bank
- Henry was going to deliver Robin’s signature and his own – task outstanding
- 650.991.9003 – Bank Manager - Reid Louie. Henry to call
- $5000 balance question – Attila missed this one – task outstanding

Keys
- Kimo was going to put together a list of offenders, change locks. Haven’t seen it.
- Kimo was going to mail new keys – has anyone has gotten their keys?
- Lock was changed (because it was broken) and rekeyed to fit old keys

BBQ
- Special commendation for Raffy for putting on the bbq
- Raffy gives good food
- No hippies this year
- Over 30 people came.
- Maybe we should have the bbq closer to the launch next time?
- We recommend Raffy for future BBQs
- Mike Donovan raises pigs – could be an option
- Big discussion over pigs and whether they’re too smart to eat

Clubhouse
- need new runners for the Orange column; Henry to look in his thick dtube collection – Henry needs to do this next month.
- gliders on the 7th layer are illegal
- How many spots are available? Who is on the list?
- Policy: brass tag on your glider or contact us by December 31st or your glider is put in purgatory.
- Air Resources Board must get a key
- Daniel to set up online clubhouse database

Bank Balance limit
- Attila will call the bank to ask about the $5,000 limit

Accidents
- Kathy is okay.

o Someone at the club should talk to this person
- Did Chris send in Vic’s accident report?
o Henry will talk to him.

New Business

Safety
• We aren’t keeping a log of the accidents out here. We should.
• Someone nearly hit the bathrooms. Pilot was getting low on a light wind day and attempted to land north of the parking lot. He did not have enough speed/height to come fully around and nearly hit the toilets.

Special projects
- LZ warning sign beside the water fountain
o HG X-ing
o Hang Glider Landing Zone – with a picture of a person being landed on.
o We need someone to put together this artwork – GGNRA?
o Text – Caution. Hang glider Landing Zone
o Needs to be near the drinking fountain to avoid being another landing hazard
o One sign by the water fountain, one coming up the trail.
o Henry and Daniel to talk to Rudy Evanson (sp?).

- Visitor display
o Interpretive display.
o GGNRA would take care of the display if we provided the art and story.

- Windsock pole
o Probably doesn’t need repairs

- Nominal pay for someone to keep the clubhouse and area clean
o Pay someone $40 / month for the next 6 months for cleaning inside the clubhouse, launch, setup area, and nearby area. Proposed by Daniel, seconded by Mike. All in favor.
o Duties to be decided.

- Could put weather stripping on the door. Could cut a trench in front of the door.

Graphics competition

- Daniel suggested we have a competition for a new graphic to put on hats, mugs, stickers, etc. Open to anyone’s submission. The graphic should represent Funston in particular, not just HG.
- Put up some money as an award for the chosen design?
- Attila suggested the money won’t be a motivator – do it for the glory and glamor
- Should it be associated with an event?

Silent Airshow
- Everyone should go to the silent airshow
