Mother Lode Sky Rider’s Octoberfest at Lake McClure will be Oct 7 and 8, 2017. This is generally a minimum H3 site but H2s can fly after their instructor has cleared it with the club. For anyone new to Lake McClure regardless of skill level please ensure you get a thorough site intro before flying. There will be speed gliding in the morning, just before or just after the speed gliding is a great time for newer pilots to get their first McClure flights. Pilot’s briefing will be at 10am Sat. Then there is a combination of horseshoe dash, pylon course, duration, spot landing and whack awards. This event focuses on fun, safe flying. The club will supply a BBQ consisting of burgers, dogs, chicken and some snacks and salads, served from around 4 to 7 pm Sat. Additional snacks, salads, deserts are always welcome. We will supply lots of water, please bring your beverage of choice.
