August 2015 Fellow Feathers Meeting

Attendees:

Clubhouse Mgr reported that clubhouse is full except for 1 or 2 spaces.

Tech officer reported new ropes camera equipment in hand.

Treasurer reported that we are close to budget for 2015.

Safety officer reported a crash at the north end of ridge, no injuries.

Secretary reported a continued high percentage of new sticker pilots are not reading rules, and are un aware of critical safety rules / issues. Continued violations of the 25’ rule, as well as pedestrian in launch rule. Secretary feels it needs to be the responsibility of the issuing pilot to go over the rules with the pilot when issuing new sticker. Some present brought up the possibility of a quiz for new sticker pilots.

President suggested making instructional videos to post on website, such as Westlake intro, high wind launch / landings, etc.

President reported on continued talks with representatives of BAPA regarding possible agreements between Fellow Feathers and BAPA.

Vice President discussed the upcoming Air Races, confirmed volunteers, discussed possible spot landing contest, trophies, tee shirts.
