October 5th 2017 Fellow Feather’s Meeting Minutes

In Attendance: Danny Freeman, Rob Johnson, George Artz, Steve Rodrigues, John Simpson, Chris Valley, Wayne Michelsen, Joey Villaflor, Lisa Lesser

Guests / New Members: No guests or new members.

Great Flights: Danny had a flight in a shear. CRV had a great flight to Minneapolis, then flew back to SFO. Joey, Wayne, and Ben Dunn went to King to see the total eclipse. George got up to 2000’ in a shear.

President’s Report (Joey Villaflor): Joey provided some information on the Air Races. Not much flying, but a few t-shirts were sold.

Vice President’s Report (Wayne Michelsen): Talked about stickers.

Secretary’s Report (Chris Valley): Cancelled September meeting minutes posted.

Treasurer’s Report (Lisa Lesser): Budget is stable, but the club needs to keep an eye on expenditures in the future.

Clubhouse Officer’s Report (Rob Johnson): Wrist is healed. Will commence glider rack improvements in the next couple weeks.

Safety Officer’s Report (John Simpson): Pilots need to use good judgment when venturing beyond our usual safety boundaries. Always have a plan and a landing area in sight. Don't fly yourself into an unsafe situation.

Tech Officer’s Report (Chuck Kranz): Not present, but maintaining our tech stuff.

Administrator Reports:

~ Tandem (Urs Kellenberger): Not present. Nothing to report.
~ Training Bowl (John Simpson): Nothing to report.

GGNRA Liaison Report (Steve Rodrigues): Annual review with GGNRA is complete.

Old Business: Creation of a safety video was discussed again.

New Business: No new business.
