Meeting Minutes 5-10-2011

Pres Report: Tom read article in magazine about wind speed in our area. More blown out days in recent years.
VP Report: Eric suggests changing the membership form layout so data entry is easier, and removing the rules from the packet and just having the rules in the box.
Treasurer Report: Van presented remaining budget for the year.
IT Report: Chuck is continuing with server stuff. Once the infrastructure is done we can move forward with streaming video capabilities from more sources, like laptops and cameras at launch. Also can set up the private forum after that.
Notable flights: Shears the last 3 days, says Tim. Dingo flew his wingsuit somewhere and watched the jetman fly.
Discussions:
- Fountain relocation. Approved by GGNRA to go ahead. Will schedule it soon. We're just pending the list of conditions by the GGNRA we have to abide by.
- Online membership renewal.
- Bank swallow rule. Season started in March. Don't fly north of the north gap.
- Brad proposed Ted be exempt from all membership fees. Seconded, vote passed.
- Lake McClure fly-in this weekend.
- Film festival Dec 2nd at Somarts. Dingo looking for donations to help put it on. Prizes will be awarded. Tom offered to donate $350 of club funds.
