Helicopters on Thurdsay Nov 12. No hang gliding!

Postby Steve Rodrigues » Thu Nov 05, 2009 10:07 pm

This just in:

The contractor doing the sewer repairs at Fort Funston have scheduled the 2nd of 3 helicopter picks for next Thursday, November 12th.

The helicopter will arrive around 10:00 AM and should only be in the area for around 2 hours.

They thank us for our help thus far and hope for another safe and successful day.

Please let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to find an answer.

Thanks Steve, glad it is not the 11th (vet's day) as I might make it out....

Here is a question for you (to find out)....

How far down below the chopper can one feel the prop wash? (I've wondered for a spell...guess it would change with size and what they were doing...(they could just go out over the water and start coming down and watch the water (and alt)))

Right, it's ok after. FYI the webcam cameras stopped updating at 11:05 so don't be fooled.
