Hello Pilots,

The 2017 Yosemite flying season is getting off to a wet start - really wet!

Normally, opening season is the first weekend of June, but that has now been cancelled due to a flooded LZ and a rising Merced River.

In fact, all of June has been called off at least for now as the warmer weather will result in continued rise of the Merced River - and more flooding.

We have monitors signed up for July and August, though, and more will get their names on the calendar as the flying season approaches.

We'll still be holding our annual meeting on Saturday, June 3rd, 10am, at the Leidig Meadow / Swinging Bridge parking lot picnic area.

Needless to say, there are a few of us that are still going just to enjoy the scenery and perhaps get in a hike or two.

So, that is where it stands for now - give me a call or email if you have any questions.

Fly safe!
