Less Than 4 Weeks Until The Mingus Mountain 30th Anniversary Celebration!

We have a great Fly-In planned for Labor Day Weekend (Sept. 2-4) here in Northern Arizona at spectacular Mingus Mountain. Located 100 miles North of Phoenix at 7,700 feet MSL, Mingus is the perfect place to spend your last big flying weekend of the summer.

The event will combine a celebration of 30 years as a renowned flying site,
a 3-day fun competition, and chance to hang out with fellow pilots and family in our new camping area just behind launch. The fun comp begins Friday, Sept 2nd with an open distance cross-country task, followed by a triangle task on Saturday out toward Sedona over the beautiful Verde alley. We’ll wrap up the competition Sunday with a bomb drop and spot-landing contest.

Red Bull has signed on to provide a barbecue dinner on Saturday night and beverages throughout the weekend. Arizona Hang Gliding Club will provide another barbecue feast and awards celebration Sunday night to wrap up the event.

Early registration is only $35 for the entire event and can be made at www.ahga.org. Please sign up now if you plan to attend so we can get a head count for planning purposes.

Thanks,
