The guys who started flying a little after lunch time got 2+ hours in light conditions but still getting to Westlake no problem.

I didn't get there until about 4:00 PM when conditions were not so good. A lot of us thought the shear would push in from the NW, we could see the white caps out there trying to come in. We waited a long time in light SW wind but it never happened. :-(

I flew a couple of times, first in pre-sheary light SW conditions with lots of holes. I got dumped hard at the golf course and barely squeaked in a landing on the chips at the edge of the sand ladder.

One guy went to the beach.

Then later after the NW white caps died down the direction switched to light W-S/W. Charlie was test flying a used Lami that Urs has for sale and showed us conditions were good to fly so a handful flew again for a bit.

Nothing great, but still better than not flying at all!

It wasn't great...
...a bit choppy and pretty "horizontal" about 75' above launch.
But a good day for takeoffs & landings.
...and yes, it's still flying!!!
