December 10, 2012 Emergency Meeting Executive Committee

Present:

Van Pelham, Chuck Kranz, Charlie Nelson, Steve Rodrigues, Tom White, Jim Mueller, Tracey Story, Tom Rust.

Note - Meeting as announced, was initially held at the Funston clubhouse, however a policeman showed up and voiced discontent. It was offered by club members that the meeting could be re-located to another location, it was decided to move to Boulevard Restaurant in Daly City. Tom Rust was phoned to let him know that the meeting was being moved to Boulevard.

1) Situation was discussed as to reason for the meeting;  that there has been an attempt to disrupt, divide, and to negate, the democratic process in the upcoming 12/11/2012 Fellow Feathers Board Election, and that:

2)  It was decided that the intention of this meeting was to clarify the board's stand regarding 20 hour waivers, as well as who is entitled to vote, so as to present a unified position in support of a democratic and fair election on Tuesday.

Discussion proceeded regarding the 20 hour rule; what constitutes proof of 20 hours Funston airtime, and where the board stands regarding waivers to the 20 hour rule.

Motion was made to rescind the 20 hour waiver for Gwenael Jacque, motion was seconded, 6 voted in favor, 0 against. Motion passed.

Motion was made to grant waiver to Tracey Story, motion was seconded, 6 voted in favor, 0 against. Motion passed.

Motion was made to rescind 20 hour waiver for Mark Lilledahl, motion was seconded, 6 voted in favor, 0 against. Motion passed.

Motion was made to grant waiver to Patrick Pannese, motion was seconded, 6 voted in favor, 0 against. Motion passed

Board acknowledged that Daniel Pifko holds the third waiver of the 20 hour rule.

Motion was made that the board officially states that the 20 hour rule is to be judged by the honor system; if a pilot states that he / she flew 20 hours in any given year, then that pilot meets the requirement to vote, as long as that pilot is a U.S.H.P.A. certified Hang Glider pilot, and is a known Funston pilot. Motion was seconded, 6 voted in favor, 0 against, 1 abstained.

It was agreed that there be a non biased steward appointed to receive ballots, and to tally votes during the election.

Meeting was adjourned.
