No, the picnic will not be contested. Not by me at least.

Landings will be scored on style and entertainment value as well as distance from the spot. That means entertaining in a good way. Judges will be directed to be quite annoyed at scary approaches and landings. There will be prizes. Judges get first pick of prizes.

Costumes might included in the landing score. Or maybe given separate prizes. All decisions of the judges will be final, regardless of how arbitrary they might be.

I've actually talked some people into judging landings.

I'll bring my barbeque and some food and drinks, more food and drink will be welcome.
