The Department of Homeland Security today announced it is assuming control of the Funston WEB camera. Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said the camera and wind report are vital links in the nation’s defense. “We are not going to be blindsided by a tsunami”. Chertoff praised Fellow Feathers for its operation of the equipment. “It was up almost 50% of the time and there even were days when both the camera and the wind report were working.’”

Fellow Feathers endorsed the takeover. The Club’s Westlake Director commented: “Operating a WEB camera and a wind machine are like landing a hang glider. If you can’t do it right, don’t do it at all.”
