February 1st 2018 Fellow Feather’s Meeting Minutes

In Attendance: Rob Johnson, Steve Rodrigues, John Simpson, Chris Valley, Wayne Michelsen, Chuck Kranz, Dave Eller, Chris Carillo.

Guests / New Members: No guests or new members.

Great Flights: Good flights were had last Thursday with altitudes in the 1200’ range.

President’s Report (Rob Johnson): Thanked Steve for addressing the complex chapter renewal process with the RRRG.

Vice President’s Report (Wayne Michelsen): Caught up with helmet sticker applications that have been received. Please remember to include SASE when you mail in your request for a helmet sticker.

Secretary’s Report (Chris Valley): December minutes posted. No meeting in January.

Treasurer’s Report (Steve Rodrigues): Discussed various phone line options. Motioned that we adopt the budget for 2018. Second by CRV - all in favor. Need to come up with a plan to distribute Funston t-shirts and sweatshirts.

Clubhouse Officer’s Report (Rob Johnson): More applications are coming in than this time last year. Lock will be changed soon. Clubhouse continues to be rodent free. Roof has been inspected and is still serviceable. South rack will be rebuilt within the month.

Safety Officer’s Report (John Simpson): Emphasized the importance of safety for the upcoming flying season. No incidents to report.

Tech Officer’s Report (Chuck Kranz): Everything is up and running fine.

Administrator Reports:

~ Tandem (Urs Kellenberger): Not present. Nothing to report.
~ Training Bowl (John Simpson): Nothing to report.

GGNRA Liaison Report (Steve Rodrigues): We are in good standing with the GGNRA.

Old Business: No old business.

New Business: Discussion was had regarding the Air Races and preparation of the event.

Meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM.
