St. John Fly-In 7/10-12. Let's Fly!

Sonoma Wings would like to cordially invite you to our annual St John Mountain Fly-in.

The fly-in will be August 10, 11 & 12, 2007. There will be free-flying on Friday and Sunday and a task day on Saturday. There will be a pilots' meeting at the Fouts Spring LZ at 09:30 on Saturday. There will be an awards presentation and barbeque Saturday evening at our LZ at Mary Quiberg's place in Stonyford. The entry fee is $30 and covers the barbeque and t-shirt.

There will be separate competition tasks for PG and HG. PG will launch from Potato Hill and HG will launch from St John Mt. Pilots need to have advanced skills and XC experience. Everyone is responsible for their own retrieve and their own safety.

Please check out the site on http://www.sonomawings.com . Familiarize yourself with the site and the surrounding area then come and join us for a great flying time.

We have been staging this fly-in since 1995 and have had over 35 hang gliders and 10 paragliders in attendance. St John is the premier XC site in Northern Ca., with a record distance of 158 miles. Paragliders have flown almost 60 miles from Potato Hill. Due to the length of time it takes to get back from these long flights we have been calling tasks the last couple years rather than open distance.

Please respond to the sign-up topic on our bulletin board so we are sure to have enough food. Go the Documents and Forms page on sonomawings.com, fill out the entry form and bring it with you to speed up the registration process.

See You there!!!
