Flyfunston

We have now installed a remote-controlled power switch on the stables cam computer (see http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?c ... id=61-2416 ). Last night, when the wind meter and stable cam picture died, I drove down Skyline, pulled over in front of Dave Sondergold's house, clicked once to turn off the power and once to turn it back on. Voila! The computer, she is back working again.

I will leave the remote somewhere in the clubhouse so that anyone can use it to reboot the wind meter/stables cam. I'll post a note when I find a good spot.

If you're driving north on Skyline on the way to Funston, the place you pull over is in front of the last house before that little yellow windsock you see on the east side of Skyline. The iceplant doesn't leave a whole lot of room, so I had to pull way over. Maybe we could clean up some of the iceplant there.

To use the remote, click ONCE to turn OFF the power, wait a sec, then click AGAIN to turn the power back ON.

Hopefully this will help us all to keep that box up and running.
